Our wood is cultivated in scientifically planned plantations, without invading natural forests.
We use different methods to pressure treat our wood, including a top-technology process which uses organic compounds that don’t harm the evironment. The techniques we use for housing construction work with nature.
We firmly believe in preserving Costa Rica’s most valuable natural treasure: its forests. For many years Costa has realized its effort to conserve its forests and, following this example, we use farm-cultivated wood obtained from sustainable supplies. We never buy, pressure treat, or handle wood that comes from a questionable source.
Because we use only pressure-treated wood, we help conserve the environment. The pressure treatment prevents the deterioration caused by termites, fungus, mold, ultraviolet light and salt water, which increases the longevity of the wood. To extend the life of the wood, fewer trees are cut over time which conserves more forest.

Oven dry:
The energy used for the wood-drying stage, which is our main source of energy, comes from the waste generated by the same productive process; and this gives us independence from the traditional energy sources.

Home Construction:
We specialize in constructing wood houses, and abide by all codes established by the local authorities, enhanced with international standards for environmentally friendly products. Our wood is proven through processes which guarantee a life span of at least 25 years and is certified.

Empty-Pressure Treatment:
Our plant is guaranteed by EPA standards and supported by the American Wood Protection Association (AWPA) in the USA. This point technology guarantees a sealed flow without risk of contamination to the environment.

Use of Organic Systems:
We rely on products of organic origin when treating our wood, which eliminates the use of Chrome and Arsenic. This ensures compliance to local and international standards which allows us to manufacture “people-friendly” products.
The wood is treated with micronized copper component, which does not contain chromium and arsenic. This component, via the vacuum/pressure process, allows us to guarantee our wood against attack by biological agents such as termites and fungi for over twenty-five years for indoor applications.
Our impregnating plant allows us to extract air from timber and apply with pressure a protective solution called Micro-Pro which, is environmentally friendly, penetrating it at a cellular level.
The Micro-Pro has approved product by the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States and duly authorized by the Ministry of Health of Costa Rica. It is a cutting-edge preservative, increasingly popular, and tested in twenty countries around the world.
